Basswood is the most popular Plantation Shutter for its expensive look and feel. PVC Plantation Shutters are a fantastic choice for wet areas such as bathrooms and laundries. There’s nothing else on the market like Western Red Cedar to create a warm and inviting feel in a room. For outdoor areas, you can’t go past Aluminium Plantation Shutters, designed to withstand the harsh elements.

Plantation Shutters Provide Beauty, Simplicity and are Child-Friendly

Plantation Shutters couldn’t be easier to use. Simply tilt the blades to your ideal level of light, privacy and fresh flowing air, or open the Shutter for unobscured views. With no cords or chains, Plantation Shutters are child and pet safe.

Simple to maintain, wipe over the Shutters with a microfibre cloth to keep them fresh and clean. Built up dirt and marks can be spot cleaned with a microfibre cloth and warm water. A small amount of dishwashing liquid can be added to the water if necessary.

Stan Bond offers Adelaide Plantation Shutter Styling Options

Styling options include the choice of a centre tilt rod, an offset control bar or an aluminium control bar, which may be located on either the face or hidden on the reverse side of the panel. With superior cutting and manufacturing technology the shutters have mortise and tenon joints for greater strength. Operation and closure options include Mono Closure as standard with 135 degree blade rotation and closure in the ‘up’ blade position, or Dual Closure with 180 degree blade rotation and closure in the ‘up’ and ‘down’ blade positions. For larger windows, a mid rail is included to allow the top and bottom halves of the shutter to be operated separately, maximising light and privacy control.

The Plantation Shutter range is designed to be flexible, to be able to suit the needs of most homes, and can be installed in sliding, bi-fold, hinged or fixed panels – making them suitable for door openings, windows, and as room dividers.

Basswood Plantation Shutters

Our most popular Shutter option is the sustainable plantation Basswood range, which uses furniture grade timber to provide a superior dimensional stable shutter.

Basswood timber shutters are available in four blade sizes, fourteen standard colours and thirteen stunning stained and lacquered tones.

Timber Shutters are a statement in any room, providing a unique look of class, sophistication and design. The aesthetic isn’t only internal, shutters look amazing from an external view, creating a feature across the front of a home while giving a high degree of privacy and light control to the user.

PVC Plantation Shutters

The Stan Bond Composite Synthetic PVC Shutter provides a range of features and benefits not available in a Timber Shutter. Beneath the smooth and beautiful lustre of our PVC synthetic shutter is a near indestructible core, capable of taking whatever your busy lifestyle can dish up.

PVC Shutters are resistant to humidity and moisture, making them the perfect choice for bathrooms and laundries, where higher humidity could be absorbed and cause damage to a traditional timber shutter.

PVC shutters are available in three blade sizes and fourteen different colours. Using the latest generation paint system, the shutters are designed to last even in the difficult Australian conditions. Our high quality paint is water-based, odour free, UV resistant, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly.

Western Red Cedar Plantation Shutters

Western Red Cedar has been proven over many years, to be the timber of choice for shutters. Not only does it convey luxury and opulence, it is a lightweight, strong, straight-grained timber.

Cedar Shutters have unrivalled dimensional stability benefits for the installation of large panels, with less strain on the supporting structure, and less chance of shutter components warping. Our timber is certified Canadian Western Red Cedar from sustainable forests in British Columbia.

The Stan Bond range of Western Red Cedar shutters is designed to enhance the natural beauty, colour and grain of the wood through a high quality stain and two-pack polyurethane lacquer finish. If you desire a natural wood finish for your interior shutters, then Cedar wood makes the obvious choice. Its rich colour and tight, straight grain, with very few knots, means it produces wonderful plantation shutters and solid shutters that, with a simple wax or polish, stand out as truly beautiful pieces.

Western Red Cedar shutters are available in three blade sizes, six standard painted colours and eight stunning stained and lacquered tones, including a lime finish.

MDF or Composite Shutters are approximately 40% heavier than Western Red Cedar panels. Therefore, cedar panels span further without sagging or stressing components. Wider panels, with uninterrupted blades, offer better views, are easier to clean, and require less work to adjust morning and night.

Timber Shutters are a statement in any room, providing a unique look of class and tasteful design. Western Red Cedar is considered the elegant choice for a sophisticated design.

What’s New

Consider installing a clear or light tint 3M Window Film on the window behind wooden Plantation Shutters. The 3M film blocks 99.9% of damaging UV light, protecting the delicate surface of the Cedar from fading and changing colour. This increases the life of your investment and the beauty of the Shutter’s finish.

Need a shutter in a custom colour? The Stan Bond Basswood and PVC shutter ranges can be painted to any colour, at a small additional fee. Our manufacturing partners are able to digitally match paint colours and make your shutters to the perfect shade for your interior decor.

What’s Popular

White Basswood Shutters have been in vogue for a number of years and show no signs of declining. Choosing white creates a beautiful clean look while ensuring the maximum flexibility with interior decor choices and future-proofing your investment.

It is so rare these days that a company offers such wonderful service and quality of product. From the very start to the very end, nothing short of pure excellence. Jenny was amazing with her suggestions and ideas, her patience very much appreciated and her ability to get the job done within limited timescales very much appreciated. This is my second experience with this company, internal shutters and curtains to go to complete my home and I will not even bother to get quotes elsewhere. Thank you Jenny, and all the team at Stan Bond - don't ever close your doors please!
