Stan Bond’s 3M Sun and Heat Control Film products provide unparalleled protection from the harsh effects of the sun. They reject up to 97% of heat-producing infrared rays and up to 99% of damaging ultraviolet rays, which can fade fabrics, window treatments, wooden floors, and furnishings.

One of the major drawbacks of traditional window films is that they tend to act like mirrors. From the inside, traditional window films make it difficult to see outside, especially at night, when interior lights are on. In the daytime, the outside reflection tends to give a home the look of a commercial building. 3M’s range of Night Vision and Prestige films use advanced technology to offer great heat rejection without the internal mirror effect. The 3M Prestige Series Film is simply amazing technology. With two versions available – Prestige 70, which is almost optically clear, and the Prestige 40, which is tinted – the film provides a heat rejection of approximately 60% with no additional internal reflection. With customers loving the difference the product makes and how little it affects the light levels in their room, this has become our most popular option in window film.

The 3M Prestige Series uses non-metallized, multi-layer optical film and nano-technology to prevent up to 97% of the sun’s infrared light as well as 60% of heat and 99% of ultraviolet rays coming through windows. 3M Prestige Window Films are designed to keep your home cool, comfortable and protected – without compromising natural light and views. Prestige Window Films are clear to lightly tinted, and will allow up to 70% of visible light through your windows.

Night Vision Window Films reduce glare and reflect up to 71% of heat coming through windows via dual technology of metalized and carbon impregnated polyester layers. This dual reflective technology gives the film a bronze tint, providing enhanced day and night-time privacy whilst still allowing views to the outside.

3M Traditional Series Window Films possess a thin adhesive as well as a micro-metal coating. This allows the films to reflect infrared solar radiation, reducing the amount of heat being transferred through the window. The 3M Traditional Window Films work to reduce glare and ultraviolet damage and offer different levels of privacy, depending on the film chosen.

Stan Bond does not recommend Traditional Metal Spluttered films in many situations, as they are less clear, less effective, corrode near sea conditions and can reduce the effectiveness of wireless internet and mobile signal.

The Ceramic Series Window Films utilise nano-ceramic technology to reject up to 80% of the sun’s infrared light, 59% of the heat and 99% of the ultraviolet rays coming through windows. 3M Ceramic Window Films are moderately tinted and provide additional glare reduction, while allowing up to 50% of visible light transmission.

3M Ceramic Series films bring you the three virtues that are most important: low reflectivity, high clarity and outstanding heat reduction – so you’ll save energy while keeping your interior cool and looking beautiful.

Using nanotechnology, 3M has created ceramics so fine they are not only invisible to the naked eye, they are imperceptible even with a microscope. These ceramics allowed 3M to create a film that is tough, won’t corrode and is so clear your view will remain beautiful.

The new 3M Ceramic Series delivers stellar performance against solar heat and sunlight. The spectrally selective films reject up to 80% of the sun’s infrared light to reduce energy costs, while blocking more than 99% of the sun’s harmful ultra-violet (UV) rays, which reduces the fading of fabrics.

3M Window Films are warranted to maintain their solar properties without bubbling, peeling, cracking, or crazing. Many of our films are warranted against discoloration too. Should the product prove to be defective Stan Bond, 3M and the authorised 3M Accredited Installer will replace the film and provide the reapplication labour free of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Stan Bond offers three Diamond Security Grilles – Small, Standard and Decorative. As their names suggest, Small Diamond Grilles use 60mm diamond shapes, Standard Diamond Grilles use 70mm diamond shapes, whereras the 70mm diamonds in Decorative Diamond Grilles are spaced out further to create a more abstract pattern. All Grilles use a strand thickness of 7mm.

Triple lock systems are an optional extra that we highly recommend for added security. As standard, Diamond Grill Doors are manufactured with a single lock system, where the door locks in at the handle. Crimsafe is the only Security Door Stan Bond offers that comes with a triple lock system as standard.

With Diamond Grille Security Doors and Screens, you have the choice of mesh to suit your needs – Flywire, Restricted Vision/One Way Mesh or Tuffscreen. Flywire is supplied as standard.

Grilles are designed to obstruct anyone from being able to push on the mesh of your door/screen, deterring intruders. The mesh and grille are stronger together than the mesh door on it’s own.

However, if you are after the strongest Security Door on the market, you can’t go past Crimsafe. Crimsafe Doors and Screens cannot be made with Grilles, however due to their screw clamp system, they can withstand more force than any other mesh, grille, security or barrier door.

Our Diamond Grilles are available in a range of standard colours to suit almost every home. If you are after a specific colour to match your decor, grilles can be powdercoated at a small additional charge.

Diamond Grille Doors and Screens can be manufactured in a range of applications, including single hinged doors, double hinged doors, single sliding doors, double sliding doors and fixed window screens.

Yes, you can have a pet door in a Diamond Security Grille Door. Pet doors are available in small, medium or large and are manufactured into the door at our factory before installation.
